Roof
The roof over the rear of the homes is at a 22 degree angle in order to maximise the south facing potential of the home. Also, as the the sun angle during winter is 20 degrees at midday, a 22 degree roof pitch maximizing the operating potential of the PV and solar thermal panels during the winter months when the sun is weaker.
