yes the code will be in force 2016.
No! This is an achievable target and everyone should be working to meet them.
NO. There are already Level 5 & 6 houses in existence and the sooner everyone is pushed to achieving these standards the better it will be for all of us.
not postpone but push harder for it, this target will NOT be reached by 2016. it will have to be postponed but not yet!
mr anonymous. if there are code 5 and 6 houses built in solid wall construction. could you please forward the details.
personally i believe the code needs to be brought forward in line with the RSls programme. but it wont the large developers will just sit back and moan.
No: Don't dilute or delay; reward those who achieve it early (0% VAT?).
As with any standard, the Code has problems, but as many have said it is driving construction in the right direction (which I'm sure the industry would not have done on its own).
By stimulating demand for Code enhancing products, materials and designers we stand a chance of moving construction into a new era.
